Districts level administrators are strongly encouraged to join the Kansas Association of School Administrators. In order to be a KASA member, you must also belong to USA|Kansas.

KASA is committed to:

• creating a strong professional network for ALL superintendents and aspiring leaders;
  
• providing leadership opportunities for superintendents at local, state and national levels; and
  
• advocating for programs and opportunities that serve to improve education in Kansas.

• Active members - $150/year (effective June 1, 2010)
  
• First year superintendents - 1st year membership fee waived*

AASA Membership
Administrators can join AASA through USA|Kansas. See our membership form for additional information.

Active - $403 Active membership is open to all persons who serve as a school system leader, or who are in an administrative position in a public or private school system, or in a regional, state or national education agency or association. Members in this category are eligible to vote, hold elected office and receive legal support from AASA.

Associate - $376 Associate membership is open to any person who is actively interested in, engaged in or associated with any phase of educational work and is not a school system leader. Members in this category are not eligible to vote, hold elected office or receive legal support from AASA.

Active Small School System - $180
Active Small School System membership is open to all school system leaders employed by a school system with student enrollment of 350 students or fewer. This membership carries the same benefits as the Active Membership category (see above).

District/Cabinet - $180
District/Cabinet membership is a pilot membership program designed to introduce members of the district leadership team to the benefits of membership in AASA. This membership is open to non-superintendent school system leaders.

College Professor - $202 College professor membership is open to full-time professors of educational administration and/or supervision, who are not currently employed in full-time school administration. Members in this category are eligible to vote and hold elected office but are not eligible to receive legal support from AASA.

Aspiring School System Leader - $55
Aspiring School System Leader membership is open to any teacher, graduate student, counselor or others pursuing a career as a school system leader, and/or those who hold administrative credentials but are employed in non-administrative positions in K-12 schools. Members in this category are not eligible to vote, hold elected office or receive legal support from AASA.

Retired Members - $60
Retired membership is open to anyone who is or has been a member of AASA, and who has retired from full-time employment as a school administrator. Members in this category are not eligible to vote, hold elected office or receive legal support from AASA.
